RESURGE – HEALTH CARE – TANZANIA – PHOTO
Over the last forty five years, ReSurge International built health care capacity and provided more than 100,000 surgeries in developing countries. In September and October of 2015, U.S. medical volunteers from ReSurge International worked with doctors at St. Gaspar Hospital in Itigi, Tanzania to transfer skills and provide reconstructive surgical care for the poor. Severe burns and other health issues that require surgery remain a hidden crisis in developing regions of the world, particularly for poor women and children. Project goal: still and video documentary support to assist in ongoing advocacy, fund raising, and awareness initiatives. Sample images from this project are below.
